When my new driver’s licence arrived, where my head should be, there was a photo of a blonde woman. Naturally, my first question was “Who is she?”. Pretty soon I was asking “Who am I?”!

After the success of his critically acclaimed and Moosehead Awarded show The Bag of Vegeta at the 2023 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Suren brings his brand-new hour of stand-up comedy There’s a World Where My Head Ought Be to Melbourne International Comedy Festival. In his affable yet irreverent style Suren makes a strong case for the value of timeless Eastern philosophies in the context of our modern lives.

Suren is a comedian, writer and actor. He writes for The Project (Network Ten), Question Everything (ABC TV) and has appeared on ABC (Question Everything, The Weekly, Comedy Next Gen, Comedy Up Late) and SBS (Celebrity Letters and Numbers, The Cook Up with Adam Liaw). He regularly appears on Evenings with David Astle (ABC Radio Melbourne) and was also visible for three seconds in the background of Thor: Love & Thunder, sharing the screen with Matt Damon, Sam Neil and the Hemsworth nobody remembers the first name of…
