Paada Yatra is a pilgrimage on foot, an age-old tradition practiced by Hindus in India and worldwide. The Hindu Council of Australia (HCA) has been organising Paada Yatra since 2012 with the aim to continue the tradition, take the tradition forward to the next generation give a chance to the Hindu community to practice their tradition.
The event starts at Sydney Murugan Temple Mays Hill and finishes at Sri Venkateshwara Temple, Helensburgh with a break at Shirdi Sai Mandir, Strathfield for Aarti and Breakfast. Devotees can join either at Sydney Murugan temple or Shirdi Sai temple and finish the walk at either Sai temple or Sri Venkateshwara temple.
This is strictly a non-profit endeavor to promote tradition, devotion and culture, It is a FREE event open to all the members of the community in general, to participate and enjoy the walk (for wellness and health) with friends and family.
Water, juice, fruits, Lunch and dinner are provided by sponsors & Karma Kitchen. Do not forget to bring your water bottles to fill as PET bottles are not provided.
