“A strong woman is one who builds a firm foundation for herself with the bricks thrown at her.”
When Ashima Narwal spoke these words at a recent beauty pageant, she had nailed it.
The 24-year-old walked away with the Elegance Award at the recently held Miss Sydney Australia contest.
This looks like the beginning of a modelling and acting career for the India-born beauty.
A 2012 finalist in the Miss India Australia contest, Ash (as she likes to be called) already has some experience in the glamour world (her last assignment was a video of a Tamil song, soon to be released). But currently she’s loving her job as a registered nurse at St George Private Hospital.
“It gives me a chance to give back to the community in whatever little way I can,” she says.
Born and brought up in India, Ash finished school at Rohtak and came to Australia for higher studies, taking a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Technology, Sydney.
Elegance personified
