Mizoram – the land of peace and freedom-loving people. From zero to near-total literacy in just a hundred years, Mizoram stands proud among the states with this remarkable achievement.
Today, the progressive people of Mizoram excel in numerous fields; when India needs soccer players that will score for the nation, Mizoram will provide. The rugged land, with its unspoiled hills, is also “a place where songs of praise are sung, where music is the mother tongue”. No wonder they call it the “Songbird of the Northeast”!
