Join Archibald Prize 2023 finalist and art therapist Kirthana Selvaraj in a workshop that focuses on sensory experiences and explores a world of colour, texture and smells.
This multisensory experience will begin on our somatic sense of touch to ground the body and the nervous system.
Collect a zine offering prompts to guide you through the series of stations addressing the somatosensory system, which supports us to identify textures, recognize objects, and generate sensory-motor feedback.
There will be opportunities to participate in art responses using a variety of culturally sensitive materials to promote a decolonial approach to knowledge production in the body. This inclusive event welcomes all ages and abilities.
